Spring is here (well, close enough), skies are blue, and most importantly, the writing is moving again. Life is good. Moving to Chucklers was definitely the right thing to do. The malaise that I ran into with Year 12 is powerless against me while I’m working on Chucklers. Mwahahaha!!! Words are flowing once more, and it feels great to be moving forward again. Yay, team!
Last week I mentioned that The Roundtable Podcast episode featuring yours truly was coming out soon. It’s the episode wherein we brainstormed my story line for the upcoming project Warrior Clan (working title). Warrior Clan is a novel I’ve had percolating for a while (actually a few years now) and I hope to get a chance to start on it later this year.
But like I said, the episode came out yesterday, and I just listened to it this morning. I have to say, Dave Robison did a wonderful job in producing the episode. He actually managed to make my story sound somewhat interesting. Thanks Dave!
Moving on to more personal (as in, non-writing related) news. Baby Bird just found out today that one of her paintings (pictured here) has been accepted into the UTSA 32nd annual juried student exhibition. The painting (“The Exquisite Moment”) is a split paneled, oil on canvas mural that measures 72″ x 30″ when all panels are together. (You can click on it to see it in detail.) This will be her second exhibition showing, and she hasn’t even graduated yet. (insert proud papa noises here) It’s also a competition, with a first, second, and third place awards, as well as a “best in show”, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed.
Needless to say, we’re kinda proud of her.
And that’s it for now. Short and sweet. I have more writing to do, and you have… well, you’re bound to have something important to do. More important than reading my blog, at any rate.
So stay safe, and I’ll talk to you next time.
