No. This isn’t really going to be my final blog post.  But it will be the final one I do in this manner.  I’ve been talking about revamping my newsletter and my website for quite some time, and the publication of the latest Amber Payne novel (Payne and Sacrifice) is forcing me to actually get some things done.  As of today, I have a new landing page for my newsletter signup.  If you aren’t already signed up, you can do so HERE.  It’s not perfect, by any means. But it’s complete enough that I can make it active and tweak it over the next few days.  I’ll also be posting a more prominent link to it here on the website soon.

And the newsletter itself is going to be changing, too.  It’s going to be less businesslike and dry, and will instead be a monthly look into what’s going on in my life on a more personal level.  You know… a bit like this blog was when I was actively blogging.

Which brings me to the next major change coming up.  I’ve GOT to figure out a way to make this website into a more professional looking “author’s page”.  You see, from what I’ve been reading, it appears I’ve been going about things all wrong.  Studies are showing that people go to an author’s website to find out more about his books, not about the author.  And they sign up for the author’s newsletter if they want to find out more about the author on a personal level.   That’s not to say there won’t still be a blog here.  But it won’t be the main event, so to speak.  It will be a menu item, and to be perfectly honest, the posts will probably just be the same content that I post in the newsletter.  But recipients of the newsletter will get it sooner.

And that’s about it, for now.  The newsletter is already changing.  The website here is going to do so in the near future.  So bear with me folks.  I’ll try to get this done soon.  In the meantime, as always, stay safe!
